Work, Play, Stay in Solomons…
Solomons is a picturesque waterfront town nestled where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland.
Voted “One of the 15 Happiest Seaside Towns in America”, Solomons has great attractions all year round; Taste of Solomons, 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, Solomons Offshore Grand Prix, Screwpile Challenge, Christmas Walk, Solomons Plein Air Festival. With frequent events and festivals also at Annmarie Sculpture Park and Calvert Marine Museum, you will always find something new and fun to do.
Stroll the Riverwalk and catch the sun on the waters of the wide Patuxent. Wander through unique gift shops, and art galleries. Pan for fossils at nearby Calvert Cliffs State Park, or bike ride around the island.
Hop a jet ski, take a sailing lesson, paddle a kayak, or rent a sail or power boat, we have 8 local marinas.
Buy some bait, and try your luck catching dinner, or enjoy our many superb restaurants on the waterfront serving fresh local seafood dishes.
Come evening, catch local music concerts or have drink at our famous Tiki Bar.
Solomons has one of the last remaining ‘Screwpile’ lighthouses on the Chesapeake: The Drum Point Lighthouse at the Calvert Marine Museum. CMM also provide cruises on the ‘Oyster Buy-Boat’ Tennyson and the ‘skipjack’ Dee. Both restored vessels are iconic treasures that remind us of the once vast Oyster trade that plied these waters.
